with encaustic, this
combination of painting and sculpture is about the struggle to live
with and survive trauma and traumatic events.
Whether the victim is a child, or many children, one person or a whole
people, one family or thousands, trauma leaves it's mark. An indelible
scar written across the minds and souls of those affected.
The rupture scars and twists the landscape, sometimes it allows bad
things to enter, sometimes the crack allows pressure to release, but no
matter what, nothing ruptured is ever the same again.
