The milk flows from the heart of
the figure; streaming from the palms
like stigmata, the milk softens the sharp edges and heals. The blue
glass represents the sharp words and the hurtful things that we humans
do and say to one another being soothed and healed by the milk of human
kindness.
This painting is about compassion and the spark of divine that is
within us all, that streak of nobility that we all possess, that allows
us to extend a hand to another with no thought beyond easing another's
suffering.
