Eastern Washington state is a large producer of various agricultural
procucts. On the way to Spokane, for an exhibition, the color of the
wet fields, waiting to be planted, caught the artist's eye. It brought
to mind the long stretches of barren, yet potentially fertile fields of
thought waiting to be planted.
