This painting is about anger. The kind of anger that overwhelms and takes over the landscape; it stains everything it comes in contact with. This kind of anger is hot and it smoulders, ready to burst in to full flame with the slightest touch of air. This piece also reflects what I saw in my mind's eye, listening to Alice in Chain's song "Angry Chair". The song came out at a difficult time of my life; this image sat in my mind for many years until another rough period brought it the forefront of my mind.
